Both teams came out slow until Catherine Lewis broke the scoring drought with a three pointer at 17:08 to give the Raiders a 3-0 lead.

Canisius then went on a 7-0 run, until Mariah Jones and Green found Tricia Oakes for back-to-back baskets in the paint to tie the score 7-7 with 11:52 remaining in the half.

The Griffins stretched their lead 13-7, before Green responded with a three-pointer to pull the Raiders within three, a basket by Canisius put the Griffins back up by five, and Green answered again with a jumper this time to make the score 15-12 with 7:39 remaining.

Canisius had a response of their own, an 11-4 run, which included three straight three-pointers from Kayla Hoohuli to take a 26-12 lead with 4:53 left in the half.

In the second half it was all Canisius. The Griffins opened the second half on an 18-7 run to extend their lead to 49-31 with 8:50 remaining in regulation.

The Raiders attempted to cut into the lead throughout the half, but the Griffins wouldn’t allow as they matched every basket that Colgate made to capture their third win of the season.
