Joslyn1The Whitestown Little League All-Stars have their Section 2 and District 10 Championship Banners rolled up. The gear is packed and the GPS unit in the vehicles of each and every parent is programmed for the Cicero Little League Park.

Whitestown, winners of 9 straight ball games in post-season play, will represent Central – Upstate New York at the New York State Little League Championship Tournament that begins Monday in nearby Cicero.

Six teams, from Metropolitan New York to Buffalo, will vie for the right to represent New York State at the Mid-Atlantic Regional in Bristol, Connecticut, beginning next weekend.

Whitestown will face Section 5 Champion Throgs Neck, of Bronx, NY on Monday morning at 11.

ball21-121x130The Section 2 Champions had some time to rest up, practice up and simply enjoy a couple of days off this weekend around the friendly confines of the Whitestown Little League Park.

My Hometown Sports was glad to spend a little time with each player and Head Coach, Rich Gnatek, on Saturday and got a chance to hear what this experience means to them, in their own words.
