SECTION 3 HIGH SCHOOL HOCKEY SEMI PAIRINGS SET-MONDAY UPDATE

Division I:
Rome Free Academy earned the No. 1 seed in the East Division for the Division I bracket, even though Cicero-North Syacuse is the same division and is ranked No. 1 in the state by the New York Sports Writers Association.
The Black Knights got the top seed based on their head-to-head meetings with the Northstars. They defeated CNS in the opening game of the season, then tied the Northstars last week. That was the deciding factor in the Knights getting the top seed.
The Division One Semifinals will be February 19th-20th with the Sectional Championship at the Utica Aud on February 23rd at 1 pm.

Division II:
On the Division II side, Skaneateles earned the No. 1 seed after finishing 14-1-5 overall and 11-1-4 in the league. The Lakers and New Hartford, which finished second, each earned first-round byes in the Section III tournament.
