Liverpool 39 RFA 0

Liverpool earned its second consecutive shutout on Friday. The Warriors beat Central Square, 37-0, last week and pounded Rome Free Academy, 39-0, this week to stay undefeated.

The No. 7 ranked large school received four straight rushing scores from Jaydakis Scott to open the game and through three weeks the Warriors have outscored their opponents, 83-6.

Next week is the match-up Warrior fans have been waiting for, and is the first of Liverpool’s grueling four-game slate to close the season.

It hosts its biggest rival, Cicero-North Syracuse on Friday, and will then close the season against Christian Brothers Academy, Nottingham and West Genesee.

Team MHTS heads to Liverpool on Friday night, as Bob Cain and Ray Biggs get set to bring you play by play coverage of Rome Free Academy Black Knights football, as the Romans travel to Liverpool (2-0) to tangle with the  Warriors. RFA (0-2) looks for win number one!

Dave Peroni-My Hometown Sports: “Having broadcast RFA sports for some 25 years, it’s great to have RFA back on the air at WKAL, where it all began and where it belongs.”

Ron Frisch- General Manager WKAL:   “WKAL is proud to partner with My Hometown Sports, to provide quality coverage of RFA games. The response from the community about WKAL broadcasting RFA games has been outstanding.”

micBob Cain WKAL/MHTS:  “I am really excited for the kids. They’re going to have their games broadcast over the radio and the internet. Local fans will be able to tune in as well as family, friends and alum from all over the world and listen online to Black Knight’s sports.

“I am also very excited for 1450 WKAL. After a long absence, Rome’s local station is back on the air and returning to its roots by carrying RFA sports live. This is also a great day for My Hometown Sports! Their coverage of local high school sports in Central New York continues to grow. If there is a game involving a team from our area, they are there to make sure the local fans get the game.”

Ray Biggs-MHTS: “I’m truly excited to be able to bring the people of Rome their RFA Black Knights on the radio once again. I hope to give RFA fans the same due care and enthusiasm I’ve given to my friends at Utica College. I am chomping at the bit to get started.”
