DAY ONE OF 26th ANNUAL LEATHERSTOCKING MEET IN THE BOOKS-GOOD DAY FOR VALLEY GYMNASTICS

MHTS UPDATE:

A busy day one at the 26th Annual Leatherstocking Gymnastics meet as fans and competitors alike flocked to the Utica Memorial Auditiorium to watch the first day of the two day competition.

Valley Gymnastics, had three winners on day one. 

In Level 5: Marissa Burke was first in the All-Around.

Level 5, Emma McQueen was second All-Around in her age group, Miranda Smith was third, Alyssa Smith fourth and Talyor Griffin fifth.

In Level 7: Kameron Karwowski tool top spot in the All-Around

Level 7, Leah Weeks was second All-Around and Kylie Trunfio was fourth.

Level 8: Jensen Todd  and Vina Smith-Ramakrishnan finshed second All-Around.

Level 9: McKenna Passalacqua placed first in the Vault.

Level 10: Meghan Pflieger finished second in All-Around.

The competition for Levels 3, 4 and 6 will take place Sunday.

OVER 600 GYMNASTS TO COMPETE IN THE 26th ANNUAL LEATHERSTOCKING GYMNASTICS MEET AT THE UTICA MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM: WHAT

The 26th Annual Leatherstocking Gymnastics Meet WHO: Over 600 Athletes including over 60 from our local gym, Valley Gymnastics

WHEN: January 14th and 15th WHERE: Utica Memorial Auditorium, Utica, NY TIME: 8am to 8pm Saturday and 9am to 3pm Sunday The 26th Annual Leatherstocking Gymnastics Meet, sponsored by Valley Gymnastics Booster Club, will bring hundreds to Utica on Saturday, January 14th and Sunday, January 15th.

More than 600 talented gymnasts from across New York State will be competing on uneven bars, floor, balance beam and vaulting, with their family and friends cheering them on in the stands of the Utica Memorial Auditorium.

These gymnasts and their families stay in our local hotels, dine in our restaurants, and shop in our local stores, which is a nice boost for local businesses.

Gymnasts will compete at various levels, from the beginning level 3’s, to the highly skilled Level 10’s, and range in age from 6-18 years old.

The size of the Utica Memorial Auditorium allows for two meets to go on simultaneously. The meet is divided into 5 sessions with each session featuring approximately 100 gymnasts competing at one time.

Valley Gymnastics, the local gymnastics training center, has more than 60 gymnasts competing in this meet. Tickets to this event are available at the door and are $12 for adults, $8 for children under 12, $30 for family admission (mom, dad and 2 children) or an adult 2-day pass for $20.00.
