The Central New York Bobcats 10u Girls Hockey Team won the New Hartford Youth Hockey Squirt House Tournament this weekend, with a 5-3 win over the Whitestown Wolfpack on Sunday afternoon.
The Cats avenged an earlier 2-1 loss to the Wolfpack on Saturday morning.
The Wolfpack had also defeated the Bobcats in another game earlier this season.
The 10u Bobcats went 3-1-1 overall in the six team, round robin tournament, which took place all weekend long at the New Hartford Recreation Center.

Bobcats forward Allyson Watrous a/k/a "The Troose" is mawled by her fellow Bobcats after scoring her third goal of the game.
Teams in the field included the New Hartford Spartans “Red” and “Blue” teams, the Whitestown Wolfpack, the Mohawk Valley Little Pioneers and the West Carleton Warriors from Ontario, Canada.
This same Bobcats team won the 2010 New Hartford Squirt House Tournament as well.
The CNY Bobcats are Central New York’s only all girls youth hockey association, with teams at the Learn to Skate, 10u, 12u and 19u levels.
The Cats practice and play at the Clinton Arena, Rome’s Kennedy Arena and the The Whitestown Community Center.
The “Troose” was loose at the Rec Center in today’s final as Allyson Watrous scored 4 goals in the win, including a thrilling goal on a penalty shot in the second period to put her team by a score of 4-2.
Watrous was named the MVP of the final game for the Bobcats and Whitestown’s Robert Squilla received the MVP honors for the runners-up.
