27th season wraps up with Tour Championship

ROME – Six players won Tour Championship titles Thursday as the Mohawk Valley Junior Golf Tour wrapped up its 27th season at Rome Country Club.
Mike Kalil, Sydney Bard, Michael Mandel, Dante Migliore, Amanda Snizek and Maryrose Mauro won their respective divisions.
Bobby Davenport, who won the extremely competitive Boys 13-15 Division was named the tour’s Player of the Year at the season-ending banquet.
Davenport opened his second season on the MVJGT with a sizzling 67 at Crestwood Golf Club. He also won six of the nine tournaments in the division.
“It felt pretty cool to get the award,” said Davenport. “After (winning) the CSC Tournament my game really took off by winning with a 67 at Crestwood and a 74 at The Yahnundasis.It is nice to have someone recognize my game the last couple of months.”
Also winning season championships this year were: Alex Malta (Boys 16-18); Scott Mundorff (Boys 12-Under); MaryAnn Bulawa (Girls 16-18); Lilly Bulawa (Girls 13-15); and Sydney Bard (Girls 12-Under).
Bard is the only player to win both the Tour Championship and the overall points title in 2012.
Thursday’s other division winners were:
- MikeKalil shot 74 to win by three strokes over Ian Campbell in the Boys 16-18
Division.
-Dante Migliore defeated Tommy Mandel on the first playoff hole to win the Boys 13-15 Division. Migliore and Mandel tied with 77s after 18 holes.
-In another one-hole playoff, Michael Mandel edged Matt Hobika after carding matching 46s.
-Amanda Snizek shot 99 to take the Girls 16-18 Division.
-Maryrose Mauro shot 49 to win the Girls 13-15 Division.
Dante Migliore also won a division title Thursday.
